Berkeley Water and Sanitation District is committed to providing equitable access to our services to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. The District is actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.
The District's ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the (1) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria and (2) 8 CCR 14011-11. Final Rules Establishing Technology Accessibility Standards. These rules and guidelines not only help make we content more accessible for people with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but conformance with these rules and guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.
The District's efforts are just part of a meaningful change in making all State of Colorado services inclusive and accessible. While the District strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the District's website.
The District welcomes your comments and feedback on how to improve its technology's accessibility for user with disabilities and for request for accommodation to any of the District's online services.
